Under a major disaster declaration for Missouri (FEMA-4803-DR-MO), signed by the President on July 23, 2024, the following counties Missouri counties have been designated as adversely affected by the May 19-27, 2024, severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding, and are eligible for Public Assistance (PA): Barry, Bollinger, Butler, Carter, Howell, Madison, McDonald, New Madrid, Oregon, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard and Texas.

The following counties also are eligible for Individual Assistance (IA): Barry, Butler, Carter, Howell, New Madrid, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard, and Texas.

All counties in the state of Missouri are eligible for funding from FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).

This public notice concerns activities that may affect historic properties, activities that are located in or affect wetland areas or the 100-year floodplain (areas determined to have a 1% probability of flooding in any given year) and critical actions within the 500-year floodplain. Such activities may adversely affect the historic property, floodplain, or wetland, or may result in continuing vulnerability to flood damage.
