Capaha Park Splash Pad Opens Thursday Summer is in the air! The Capaha Park Splash Pad will be open this Thursday, May 1. It will be available to use from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. everyday for free! Walking Tour of Former City Hall May 12 at 5:30 p.m. Preserving with Purpose: Ittner’s Legacy Each May, in honor of Historic Preservation Month, the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) hosts a tour of historic buildings in the city and/or a presentation on historic preservation. This year, the HPC is pleased to host an event at the Kellerman Foundation for Historic Preservation’s new home, located in the historic Lorimier School building at 401 Independence Street. Join the HPC and the Kellerman Foundation to learn about the building’s 88-year history, with tours of its exterior and interior, followed by a presentation on its famed architect, William B. Ittner. Hear from Dr. Mary Ann Kellerman about exciting plans underway to reimagine and repurpose the former school building as a museum and a center for preservation! Plentiful parking is available behind the building. Refreshments and reception to follow. Disaster Relief Multi-Agency Resource Center for Severe Storm Victims A Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will take place Saturday, May 3 in Delta, Mo. for those impacted by the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred between March 30 and April 8. The MARC will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 324 N. Liberty. |

Starting Soon Annual Maintenance – Asphalt Overlay Following Council approval on April 7, the following street sections were added to the annual TTF Asphalt Overlay Program with work to begin very soon. Recently completed work from this program included two blocks each of South Frederick, Jefferson, and Middle streets. TTF also supports annual concrete repairs such as recent work on Cape Rock, Perryville, and Clark. The 2025 concrete list is forthcoming. |
