Confluences, a conference celebrating regional culture, was held Saturday, April 26 Hosted by Lynne Chambers of Legacy Training, Inc. The mission of Legacy Training, Inc., is to promote health, expand access to the arts and humanities—empowering underserved communities throughout the Delta region and beyond. Confluences is a celebration of the culture of Cairo and the region surrounding the convergence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers, past and present. The conference, titled Confluences (The Intersection of Thought, Art, and Education) presents a fantastic opportunity to showcase our initiatives in historic preservation within our community.”
