Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Emiko Edwards, a distinguished Juilliard alumna, will perform on May 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Harold S. Jones Fine Arts Center. The program will highlight works by African American composers, celebrating their profound and often underrepresented contributions to contemporary music.
In addition to Edwards’ performance, the Southern Illinois String Quartet from SIU will also take the stage, adding to the evening’s rich musical experience.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Ms. Edwards to our stage,” said Jones. “This is a remarkable opportunity for our community to experience her extraordinary artistry, and we encourage everyone on both sides of the rivers to attend this special performance.”
